Use both the acronym and the spelled-out form at least once each. Recruiters find candidates by typing keywords into the ATS database, and you cannot know which version they will type. Covering both costs you a few characters and closes the gap.
This is a search problem, not a style problem. A recruiter hunting for a certification might type the short form; a different recruiter at the same company might type the long one. Your resume is retrievable only for the strings it actually contains.
The standard pattern handles it cleanly: the spelled-out form followed by the acronym in parentheses on first use, then the acronym alone after that. It reads naturally to a human, and it means both possible searches return your name instead of a coin flip.
“You know the two ways to write your certification, so write both and stop gambling on the typing habits of a stranger.”
