No. The 75 percent figure traces back to a 2012 marketing claim from a resume-optimization vendor called Preptel, not to any study. No research supports it. Most ATS software organizes resumes for humans to read; it does not silently throw them away.
The number spread because it is scary, and it kept getting repeated until it sounded like research. If you go looking for the study behind it, there is none. What an ATS actually does is parse your resume into fields, rank and filter candidates, and make everything searchable for the recruiter.
So stop optimizing against a shredder that does not exist. The screen most likely to cut you early is a knockout question, like work authorization or a required license. Answer those accurately, keep your formatting parseable, and put your effort into being easy for a human to read in the first pass.
