Resume Roast for Data Scientists

Every Data Scientist resume says Python, pandas, and machine learning, so the recruiter skips your skills section entirely and hunts for one thing: a model that touched the real world. Deployed, shipped, drove a decision, moved a number. A Kaggle rank is a hobby. If your work changed what a business did, say that in the first bullet, with the number attached.

What Gabe checks first on a Data Scientist resume

For each project, name the business result, like a churn model that saved 400 accounts a quarter. Accuracy scores without stakes are homework grades.
Say whether your models made it to production and who used them. Analysis that lived and died inside a notebook is worth one line, not five.
Keep the methods list short and current. Naming twelve algorithms reads like a textbook index; naming the one you chose and why reads like experience.
