Resume Roast for Physician Assistants

Physician Assistant resumes are scanned for specialty, procedures, and volume, roughly in that order. The reviewer wants to know what you can walk in and do on day one: suturing, first assist, central lines, whatever your setting demanded. A PA resume that lists rotations but no procedures reads like a student's. Your procedure list is the product, so give it numbers and room.

What Gabe checks first on a Physician Assistant resume

List procedures with counts where you can, like 200 plus joint injections or first assist on 150 cases. Numbers turn claims into evidence.
Name your specialty and setting plainly: emergency medicine, ortho surgery, urgent care. PA is too broad a title to screen on by itself.
Include patient volume per shift and the level of supervision you worked under. Autonomy is what distinguishes two PAs with identical certifications.
