Resume Roast for Product Managers

Product Manager resumes fail one way more than any other: shipped it, listed it, never said what happened next. The recruiter scans for outcomes, like adoption, revenue, retention, and for scope, meaning how many teams, how big a surface. Launched is a verb, not a result. If a feature moved a metric, the metric goes in the bullet. If it did not, pick a different bullet.

What Gabe checks first on a Product Manager resume

Follow every launch with its aftermath: adoption rate, revenue effect, support tickets down. A launch with no outcome attached reads as a party, not a product.
Show scope plainly: number of engineers, designers, and stakeholders you coordinated. PM at a 5-person startup and PM on a 40-person platform are different jobs.
Include one hard call you made, like a feature you killed or a deadline you traded away. Prioritization under pressure is the actual skill being hired.
